GCSE RESULTS: Third of pupils at The Peterborough School gain eight or more A*s and As

A third of pupils at The Peterborough School achieved eight or more A* or A grades in their GCSE examinations, with 23 per cent of all candidates achieving this in 10 or more subjects.

In total, 51 per cent of all the grades were at A* or A, and 77 per cent were at A*, A or B.

This year’s cohort of computer science students will be particularly pleased, with 88 per cent of them getting A* and 92 per cent of the grades in GCSE biology, chemistry and physics at A* or A.

Headmaster Adrian Meadows said: “Many congratulations to all the students on these excellent results; I am so delighted their hard work has paid off.

“I am very pleased for the large number who have achieved the top grades across their subjects and wish all the students well as they move on to the next stage of their education.”
