Mass Covid vaccination hub planned to open in Peterborough next week
Peterborough MP Paul Bristow asked health Secretary Matt Hancock when the city was likely to get a mass vaccination hub similar to those in other areas in the House of Commons today (January 21).
The Health Secretary confirmed plans are in place for a centre in Peterborough and that it is expected to begin vaccinations next week.

Matt Hancock said: “Yes we are going to have a mass vaccination centre in Peterborough alongside all of the work that the GPs are doing and we hope that it will be open next week and I want to thank the NHS in Peterborough for the work that it is doing and for getting this going.”
Mr Bristow told the Peterborough Telegraph: “The NHS in Peterborough is already vaccinating at pace and scale.
“But this announcement today that we are getting a mass vaccination centre in middle of our City is great news.
“It means we can go further and faster.
