1,000 safe and well visits
The visits encompass a range of areas including preventing falls in the home, monitoring alcohol use and consumption, crime reduction including fraud and scams, and staying well, warm and nourished at home.
The visit provides the fire service with enough information to support individuals and, with their consent, refer them to other authorities who can support them further.

Hide AdPaul Clarke, community risk manager at the fire service, said: “Although we target our work through partner agency data sharing to reach those most vulnerable people in our communities first, it is vitally important that people make referrals to us if they think someone they know, whether it be a loved one, a neighbour or a friend, could benefit from our completely free of charge service too.”
