Here are the most serious offenders. This is not a list of all offenders jailed, but of those who have committed such serious offences that Cambridgeshire Police have deemed it worthy to release their custody photographs to the public.
1. Thomas Ruggiero
Thomas Ruggiero, 35, attacked a man in his 60s. Ruggiero punched and kicked him until he was unconscious and proceeded to kick him in the head when he was on the floor. The victim needed neurosurgery. Ruggeiro was sentenced to eight years in prison. Photo: Cambridgeshire Constabulary
2. Ricardo Viegas
Ricardo Viegas, 22, attacked a man with a six inch knife, repeatedly stabbing him on the ground. After suspicions that he may have stabbed a second man, Viegas was later charged with two counts of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent and threatening a person with a blade in a public place. 3. John-Paul Ellis
John-Paul Ellis, 38, stole a number of items from a house in Glinton, including an electric guitar, jewelry and mobile phones. Ellis sold these items to a second hand shop, who tipped off the police. Ellis was found guilty by a jury, and was released on bail, where he struck a second time. He was sentenced to give years and five months in prison. Photo: Cambridgeshire Constabulary
4. Jason Parkinson
Jason Parkinson, 22, threatened a shopkeeper with an axe, demanding the worker open the cash register and give him the money while threatening to kill him. The shopkeeper managed to get the axe off of Parkinson and alert the police, who found that the victim had detained Parkinson himself. Parkin was sentenced for six years.
