Jail for Peterborough man who damaged Queensgate door

A man who damaged a glass door at the Queensgate Shopping Centre has been jailed.

Stephen Unwin (47) of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to criminal damage at a hearing at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court following the incident on April 11.

Unwin was given a three week jail term, after magistrates said the offence was aggravated by his previous record of offending.

He was also ordered to pay £100 compensation to Queensgate.
