More than 700 cannabis plants found by officers

A man has been arrested after police found a ‘large’ cannabis factory in Peterborough.

Officers were called on Tuesday night to Empsom Road in Fengate.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: “Officers from the Neighbourhood Support Team in Peterborough carried out a drugs warrant in Empson Road, Fengate, on Tuesday afternoon (16 August) and discovered a large cannabis grow with about 700 plants at the address.”

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of production of class B drugs.
