Man seriously injured after collision involving car and man riding electric scooter

Emergency services were called at 2.45pm on Saturday (13 March) to reports of a collision involving a car and a man travelling on an electric scooter on Newcastle Drive, Peterborough

Road closures were put in place for several hours following the incident.

A police spokesman said: "The man, aged in his 20s, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries.

"The drive of the car, a man, stopped at the scene.

"The road was re-opened at just before 6pm."
