Team members from Peterborough United Pre Academy and City of Peterborough Futsal Centre have raised £1,885 in a fortnight. The dedicated kids have each morning been doing 200 sit ups, 200 push ups, 200 star jumps and 200 squats per day. Not satisfied with just that, the team is also doing 10K of running a week for two months.
Hoping to raise as much money as they can, the team wants to use the money to buy toys and games to keep other youngsters entertained during their hospital stays. Harrison Smith (6) said: “I wanted to do the fundraiser as I wanted to give the children new toys as they might have had to throw them away because of the coronavirus.”

Harrison’s mum Rachael Smith said: “All of us are incredibly proud of the children for putting others first and working really hard to achieve their targets by completing their pledges.
“Their football coaches have been a great support to the children. They’re always checking in with them to see how they are doing. We want to give a very big thank you to all everyone who has kindly donated.”
