A man was rescued from a flat fire in Peterborough yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, November 7).
Fire crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground were called to Brickstead Road in Hampton Vale at 3.51pm.
Firefighters rescued a man from the flat who was then treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire was caused accidentally.
Both crews had returned to their stations by 4.30pm.
