UPDATE WEDNESDAY 2.40PM: East Africans held over suspected illegal immigration case in Spalding
The group, three men, a woman and a child from Ethiopia and a woman from Eritrea, were arrested and held by police who were called to the Spalding bypass, near McDonald’s restaurant, at about 2.40pm yesterday.
Immigration enforcement officers are dealing with the five adults, while the child is with social services to establish their age.

TUESDAY 4.25PM: Six people arrested in immigration swoop in Spalding
Police have arrested six people on suspicion of entering the UK illegally after an operation on the outskirts of Spalding today.
The group of four men and two women were arrested on the A151 Holbeach Road, near the A16 junction and McDonalds restaurant, at about 2.40pm.

Hide AdA Lincolnshire Police spokesman said: “We have taken them to custody suites to ensure their welfare needs are met in the first instance and once they are booked into custody, our colleagues from the UK Border Agency will investigate.”
