Former Posh ace Leon is a knockout
The 37 year-old took just 43 seconds to wallop Kelvin Young in what was billed as a final eliminator for the English super-middleweight title at the Copper Box Arena.
The best win of McKenzie’s nine-fight professional career takes him a step closer a shot at the St Georges belt - currently worn by Leicester powerhouse Jahmaine Smyle - but he said afterwards: “There are various things I can go for.”
Against Young, McKenzie went straight on the attack.

Hide AdHe soon backed Young to the ropes and cracked him with a right that had the ex-Southern Area champion from Swindon dazed and looking to grab.
McKenzie smartly escaped his clutches and kept landing punches flush until he finally clubbed Young to his knees with a southpaw left.
Not badly hurt, Young nevertheless mistimed his rise and was counted out by referee Terry O’Connor.
On the same show, Tommy Martin, on Posh’s books as a teenage goalkeeper, was beaten in his challenge for the Commonwealth super-lightweight title.
The 21 year-old from St Neots was stopped in the 12th and last round of a good fight by John Wayne Hibbert. Hibbert was ahead on all three cards after 11 rounds.
