Netherton United have eyes on another ‘four-some’ season ahead of a Tuesday semi-final and there are also big matches for Holbeach United and Yaxley
Tonight (February 18) they attempt to reach the Hinchingbrooke Cup Final by winning a semi-final at higher-level Arlesey.
In the past seven days they have already reached the final of the Peterborough Senior Cup and become the first team to make the quarter-finals of the new Peterborough League Cup.

Netherton beat Long Sutton Athletic 3-1 in their Senior Cup semi-final at the Grange on Saturday (February 15) thanks to goals from Zack Fisher (2) and Robbie Ellis.
Fisher scored the club’s 100th goal of the season during the game, while Jake Clitheroe replied for Long Sutton.
Fisher and Ellis were also on target in a 4-1 win at FC Parson Drove Reserves as Netherton became the first team to reach the quarter-finals last Wednesday (February 12). Jacob Smitheringale and Sam Wilson also scored against Division Three opponents who played superbly on the night.

Hide AdNetherton will go top of the Premier Division if they win at lowly Ketton this Saturday (February 22), but manager Jon Harrison is taking nothing for granted.
“This season has been great so far,” Harrison stated. “We started really well in the league and have put ourselves in a good position, while our cup runs have brought many highs.
“Once again we’ve beat numerous teams from a higher level, but now we’re approaching the crunch end of the season it’s about handling the the pressure and keeping our standards high.
“Iif we do that then I can see us winning back the league, but it will be very tough as we will almost certainly have to deal with a fixture backlog.

“We’re in the final of the Senior Cup so that’s winnable and I would love for us to be the first name on the trophy of the new cup.
“All in all there are a lot of exciting times ahead that could end with silverware and promotion.”
Netherton will start favourites in the Senior Cup Final against Premier Division Uppingham Town.
