Apart from the opening quarter of the game it wasn’t a particularly fluent performance, but given the circumstances of a first game in 25 days and playing with 10 men for 25 minutes it was a satisfactory outcome.
RATINGS KEY: 10- Perfect, 9-Oustanding, 8-Very Good, 7-Good, 6-Okay, 5-Poor, 4-Very Poor, 3-Dreadful
1.
CHRISTY PYM: Made a fine save from distance in the first half and an excellent one from close range in the second-half. Caught a couple of crosses late on to relieve some Lincoln pressure. Cool with the ball at his feet. 8.
2.
FRANKIE KENT: Bottled up his side of the defence impressively and moved the ball well. Picked up a late caution for a wild challenge, but played well 7.5
3.
NATHAN THOMPSON: For someone so experienced he doesn't half pick up some unnecessary cautions. His first booking was for a poor challenge on the halfway line and his second after conceding a penalty with a deliberate handball. He conceded many other free kicks before his dismissal. It's a shame as he is such a natural in the centre of the back three. Will miss the next League One game though. 5
4.
MARK BEEVERS: When facing the play he defended his penalty area pretty well, but he looked cumbersome at other times. No idea what he was doing at the corner from which Lincoln equalised. Should be under pressure for his place from Ronnie Edwards. 5.5
