Peterborough United Reserves beat Sheffield United 1-0 in a behind closed doors friendly at the Weston Homes Stadium today (February 25).

Young pro Flynn Clarke scored the only goal of the game for a Posh side that included senior pros George Boyd and Louis Reed.

Out-of-form striker Mo Eisa didn’t play, but that doesn’t mean to say he’s out of contention for Saturday’s (February 29) League One trip to Burton Albion.

Eisa hasn’t scored since the 2-2 draw at Portsmouth early in December and saw a penalty saved in the recent League One defeat at Fleetwood.

“Mo had 60 minutes in our last game at Fleetwood and played in a practice match between ourselves last Thursday,” Posh first-team boss Darren Ferguson said.

“I had a good chat with Mo on Monday. He’s fine apart from his confidence is low. One goal and he would be up and running again in my opinion.”

Ferguson revealed Siriki Dembele and Dan Butler are in line along with Eisa to take a penalty at Burton.
