It’s the fifth highest amount paid by a League One club behind Sunderland, Portsmouth, Ipswich and Coventry City.

Sunderland paid out a staggering £1.3 million, almost £1 million more than the next biggest spenders Coventry.

Posh paid out £176,000 to agents in the previous 12 months.

The Posh signings covered by the latest figures are Serhat Tasdemir, Mo Eisa, Frankie Kent, Niall Mason, Christy Pym, Mark Beevers. Dan Butler, George Boyd, Nathan Thompson, Jack Taylor and Sam Cartwright.

Bolton paid no money to agents in the period covered, while promotionchasing Wycombe paid out just £25k.
